Help and Advice Needed on Drive Train

I have asked about this problem on a couple of occasions before but with no sucess.
I need to get this fixed before it turns out to be more expensive than it already is. ( parts availability here in the UK is limited ).
The problem is that on take off in 1st or 2nd gear (NV5600)there is a noticable meshing sound, almost chattering, if this makes sense.i can not tell exactly where on the drive train the noise is coming from, I have tried this in 4X4, and although it is slightly quieter, it's still there, i can not tell if this noise is there all the time when under load,due to engine and road noise, i do know that it's not there under coasting conditions.

I put the truck on a rolling road, and tried to duplicate the same conditions, although only the 2 back wheels were on the rollers, the was no unusual noises detected. Does this mean that the problem is in the front axle or the Transfer box or even something as simple as a UJ, tho the UJ's seem to be ok.
I have been told that it may be the input shaft bearing on the gear box, or may be it's just the release bearing.
I would appreciate any imput, and any advice would be gratefully received.........thanks
on a foot note, i have heard the same thing on a couple of other 2500 Rams here, am i over reacting? or is there a common problem. I have to make a 4k journey just after Christmas, so i would like to have a cure ASAP.....Thanks...Ade.

If it is doing it at low RPM on the engine the NV5600 will chatter, I know that mine does this. I don't think that anything is wrong.

Some have changed to a different lubricant and have had some improvment, but it must be compatable with the syncromesh transmission if you wish to try that.

I just try not to stay at the low RPM's any longer than is necessary.

You might try putting the front wheels on the rolling road, and putting jack stands under the rear axle and try running the test again. This should tell you if the front drive system is the problem.
