Headlight Help
I searched this forum and I have already replaced my headlight switch, but I am still having the same problem. My headlights only come on if I wiggle the main wiring harness under the dash. It also causes my brake lights to flash. I read about the problems with the headlight wiring kit. Could it be that or is there something I am missing? Thanks for any help.
I do not know if that is an issue with that yr. / md.
Has there been much , if any after market wiring , or patch work ?
Some yrs. had weak head lite sw. , could not handle much load , especially if something was added .
It could be that your sw. over heated and has a bad connection at sw. and moving the wires affect it , pull the sw. look for signs of heat/burn , replace .
Other wise , wiring issue's are just time to chase down .

Since the healight switch has nothing to do with the brake lights I'd be looking for a loose connector. If you don't have a factory manual with wiring diagrams now would be the time to get one. Genos is a good source.
Chrysler in an effort to save a few pennies skimped on the wire length coming up though the steering column. Not uncommon at all for individual wires to get pulled out of their connectors when tilting the steering wheel up and down.
If you open up the cover on the column you can usually find the loose wire by wiggling them around. Sometimes there's enough wire to connect it back up, other times you have to splice in a little more wire.
