Hard starting

I recently had a small bumper cruncher. After body shop, the truck ran and started ok. Filled tank about a week later, drained the water from the fuel filter, and it was hard to start. I thought I just got some air in the system. Ran rough for a couple of blocks then smoothed out. Stopped for a couple of hours. Then it was hard to start and ran rough for a little while. Now it is hard starting when it is cold. Smooths out after it warms up. Changed the fuel and air filter. No help.
Dealer wants to keep it for an unspecified period. I can't do this. Have to use it. ?? Sensor? Lift pump? Fuel return?

Re:Hard starting

There must be a cracked fuel line or loose connection somewhere between the tank and the injector pump..You pretty much have to trace the lines to see if there is any seepage after it sits..

My best guess is somewhere between the lift pump and the injector pump as it clears up after you get enough fuel pressure. But I would check the whole system anyway.

J-eh
