gsk install stalled

Here is the problem:

Directions say remove two inner springs and any shims and the spring seat.

On my truck there is a smaller spring on its own spring seat inside the smallest spring that will be replaced.

Directions make no mention of this little spring.

Do I discard it? Put it back?

I can clearly see the large outer spring that stays put. I took out the two smaller springs inside this (these get replaced along with their seat)
There is another spring inside of those two.

Thanks

Big Jimmy

Ok what i did when i put mine was simple

the springs came with the new spring seat for the new governer springs. I removed EVERYTHING on the inside, that included 2 or 3 shims in my ip and i installed the new springs (in my case a 4K kit) there were three of them as i can recall. I put the seat in, and then i put the largest new spring in there, the medium one, then the smaller one in the center. From there i proceeded to put the retainer nut back on..

If you forget to remove a shim or what not, the nut will not tighten to where it goes. or u wont be able to close it all the way. Be careful and be very patient..

Another point of advice, if you went thru the side of the pump, Please save urself the headache and carefully remove the throttle deal that is right by the cover. Otherwise it is gonna make ur life a livin u know puttin it back on. Be careful when u remove it tho, it is antimony, a very tough to weld metal (if it happens to break) i used an 8mm socket as i recall to remove it.
