Mitch,
I am not sure if the shop is telling the right thing. ECM is supposed to be on hte left side of the block. PCM I think is on the right side of the block. I think the cost to replace an ECM is in the thousands, not sure about the PCM.
I think the problem is with connections. ECMs seem to be problem free unless flashed numerous times by aftermarket programmers.

That's what I have been led to think.... He's saying that the ECM is on the pass. firewall. He said it's fried! I really don't care what it's called I just want my truck back! 6.5 weeks without her is driving me crazy! I hate cars!
