go pedal not working

Hello all....my first post here. I'm hoping to get some help from you diesel gurus =p

Here is my problem...when stepping on the go pedal for some reason the truck just goes back to idle....when i pump it a few times it accelerates again then drops right back to idle. Sometimes it runs for a few min then it runs like crap again.

the codes i get are P0122=throttle position sensor voltage low
and p1693=DTC detected in companion JTEC module

I have tried resetting the apps with no luck, cleaned all connections/ground wires etc. etc. again with no luck

any one have any suggestions what i could try?

thanks

(truck is auto)

yes I think i was wrong on the nomenclature.........if i re call....unhook all batts for awhile then hook them up, turn ign. switch on and off 3 times..........3rd time leave on and slowlly and smoothly press go pedel to floor and back to top . Should do it.

OOps not quite.... shut the truck off, disconnect the two negative battery cables, turn the key to on (not start) and let it set for over 1/2 or 3/4 hour. After the time, shut the key off, hook up the battery cables. Next turn the key on without hitting start. Slowly push the throttle pedal down to the floor and slowly back up again. Turn off the key. You are finished, now you can start it as usual and reset your stereo keys.

Try cleaning out the connectors on the ECM (left side of the engine) and the PCM (at the firewall behind air filter) and look at the wires for rodent damage. It could also be your APPS going south. (Rather high priced item AFAIK)

Sounds like the tps to me had the same problem with 94. changed tps worked fine. its real easy to fix your self cost is about 250 it on the right side of the engine as you look at it there is a plastic black cover pull the cover disconnect the cable an wires unscrew and replace takes about 15 mins saves you about 100 bucks.
