I drove to St. Louis back in April and found that the pinion seal was leaking. Not to big of a deal. Got back to WI and took it in to the dealer and they replaced it. Now here I am again in ST. Louis and it is leaking again. Any suggestions besides going back to the same dealer.

First thing is to make sure that was the leak point.....make sure its not running or blowing back from somewhere fwd of that point.

The seal has to have a good sealing surface to do its thing...if your pinion shaft is knicked or something...it will leak no matter how many seals you put on...

I would suggest cleaning it off with some brake cleaner and establish the exact point of the leak...then go from there....might find a differant dealer if its a wnty.....

Make sure there isn't a groove worn in the shaft where the seal contacts it and that the differential vent isn't clogged.
