Fog/Driving light wiring

I have a 04 2500, bought it with the fog/driving lights already on. The guy wired the fog/driving lights to stay on even when the high beams are on. I need them to shut down to pass inspection. He did a great job wiring them, they look like factory install, but he wired something direct & I can't find it. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks, Al Venn

My fogs stay on with the parking lights, this was done by following this diagram from Bubba CTD here on the board, here is the link, all that was done was the wire that you can see in the fuse box under the hood, hope this helps.

I did my own wiring and removed the headlight assembly and with the factory fog light kit and supplied connectors I wired the signal wire from the parking lights so that the fog's come on as long as the parking lights are on, they also come on with low beams and high beams.

Look for a wire going to the (I think) left headlight area that isn't an original wire. It should be connected to the wire that controls only the low beam if you need as it should have come from the factory.

Hope this helps a little...Don

Thanks, figured it out

Thanks NASCAR Camper & Don. It was wired like Don's lights. I had to take the left HD light out & connect a relay to the high beam light wire, so when I threw the HBs on it will cut out the fog/driving lights. Did I mention how much I dislike Virginia DMV inspections? Moving to Norfolk this week, fun, fun. Thanks again for your help.

How about simply disconnecting the foglights for the duration of the inspection? Foglights are a factory option and many trucks came without them. I love beating the system!
