Here's what they probably are though:

P0216 Fuel Injection Pump Timing Failure
P0253 Fuel Injection Pump Fuel Valve Open Circuit
P1693 Companion code, telling you there are codes.

Doesn't look good if you have a 2nd gen 24 valve engine.

Yup....hope you have about $1300-1500 in your "rainy day fund".

In most cases 0216 means the VP-44 has crapped the bed. You may also need a lift pump.

Do you have a fuel pressure guage?

 

thanks sorry i should have said its a 02 quad cab 4x4 6spd.and this is not what i was hoping to hear and after reading some now i know why some times the go pedal didnt do anything!!!!!
