Code P0483 Clutch fan or sensor?

Had temp issue on last tow, engine light never came on but this code showed up. How do I know if it's fan or some sensor? Checked all wiring and conections.

When using the key off on method, I get that code also. The fan seems to be spinning up ok, and temp seems solid, so I believe in my case at least it is a sensor problem. I am not doing anything till a real problem results from this. So basically i am saying it could just be a bad sensor. YMMV

I had the same code a few months ago. I bought a scanner and cleared it out and it came back. Put a new fan clutch on and all is well. I bought my fan clutch at O Rielly's it is a Hayden sevier duty clutch and it only cost $218.00 alot cheaper than the dealer. You should check the wiring to make sure it didnt come unpluged first and if it didnt next step new fan clutch.
