I have an 05 3500 w/ 6-speed that has an 06 motor in it... Shop has been trying to put a new clutch in it for the past two weeks..... And can't find one that works - Problem? Truck shifts thru forward gears, but gotta shut truck off to go from Reverse to forward gears or from forward gears to reverse! Any ideas? 06 Motor has 05 flywheel on it... trans is still same from 05. Any ideas? Tried about four clutch part numbers so far with no luck! Any help much appreciated!

Well, I went by the shop that has my truck today (used to work there) and pulled out a mic just for grins..
Seems as if the used 05 flywheel they tried on the truck is .3" thinner than another 05 flywheel that they had just resurfaced - meaning that it is .3"+ thinner than a new flywheel. I'm thinking this could be a starting point for resolving the problem. Any ideas??
