check engine and loss of power, help

im on the highway in ohio and all of a sudden the check engine light comes on and I can't go over 70mph. turbo seems to only boost around 5lbs and when I punch it, nothon changes. boosting still at 5lbs and won't go over 70. it drops to 60 on a very small hill. trans seems fine, motor runs and idles fine. everything seems ok. could it be the turbo? fuel pump? injection pump?? is it maybe my edge box? everything worked fine, it happened all of a sudden. help!

First thing I'd do is check codes....key from off to on 3 times ending in the on position ( do not crank!) If nothing concrete is found next thing is to put the truck back to stock ( take off edge). Get back with results!

Not 100% sure. I'm not familiar with the edge. I would assume it plugs in. Check all those plugs especially!

update while driving. when a hill gets a little bigger, it downshifts and boosts up to 11 lbs

Need to check air and fuel filters , check all the charge air hoses ( boost tube/ intercooler hoses) then.........may be a bad MAP sensor or turbo going out. I doubt the turbo is bad......not very common, and too many other things could cause a similar problem.

Should have noted that P0299 is Turbocharger underboost condition.

I'd say check the connections at the map sensor. It is on the intake manifold, oh, relatively in the middle of it. Usually the performance boxes have a "piggyback" connector or a jumper harness near the sensor. It could be a bad sensor too, but I'd bet on connections first.
