So this is the second time the light came on this week. The first time it came on I just cleared it with the key and now it's on again after four days. I'd like to know what it is, but is there a way to check it like the ABS check wire?

 

Nevermind, I found the sticky. Code 12! Got it... I love our first gens!

 

Now wait, code 12, 41, and 45. I know with the overdrive, i have a switch to manually turn it on. 12 and 45, is it saying my altenator is going out? I can check for a loose connection on my battery for 12, but what about 45?

 

Get a manual trans and you wont have a problem with 45. i would think possibly loose battery terminals

 

45 can be caused by a bad alt or a bad ASD relay.
