Changed fuel filter, something broke
Changed fuel filter, something broke
I put the new fuel filter in, and I turned the truck over, the pump starts to run, but it's leaking fuel because the drain is stuck open. So I work the drain handle up and down a few times, which supposedly stops the leaking...
Now when I turn it over, the pump doesn't run.
Any ideas?

Sounds to me like you may have either blown a fuse, or somehow disconnected the harness to the lift pump. I would start first by checking fuses and relays under the hood, then make sure all connections are secure on the wiring harness in that vicinity. While the stock lift pumps are junk, they don't usually go in that manner.

Yeah I was just bumping it. Is there a fuse for the lift pump? I just reconnected the connector on the front of the fuel filter, wiggled all the wires, and reseated the fuel relay I found in the fuse box under the hood. It seems to be running now.
Busier then hell right now so the last thing I needed was to get stuck replacing a lift pump today!
Thanks for the help guys!
