Center Carrier Bearing#####.

I have changed these bearings on both ford, & chevy., is ther some hidden sin ,i don"t remember . bearing is frosen on spline shaft, i thought about chewing it off, (plastic theeth). Is this acommon thing on our dodges?SSSSOOO TELL me how to fix simplest way.

You might have to split the race. Cut the outer race off and then use a cutoff wheel to put a deep notch in the inner race. Then take a cold chisel and split the race, it will slide right off.

wana , thanks ,cut it off, .The bearing they gave me was too small dia. had to order one 1.5748 dia. be here tues. checking all u joints --don't want to do this again for , forever. will i have to have the bearing pressed on??

If the size is right you should be able to tap it on with a hammer and a piece of pipe.

wana,,yes sir, it taped on real smooth . I think this helped most of my 40 mph viberation;it's alot smoother, we're back on the road.
