can't get to injector pump shaft and nut
Remove the crankcase breather cover from the front of the motor. It is located on the front of the motor below the upper radiator hose and directly in front of the injection pump. First, remove the blowby tube from the top of the cover, it has a constant-tension clamp on it. Then, use a strap wrench or other suitable tool to grab the cover and remove it by turning counter clockwise. This will allow you access to the pump shaft nut. Remove the pump shaft nut. You will need some sort of gear puller/press to seperate the pump shaft from the gear. Take care not to allow the pump keyway to fall into the gear case when removing the pump. If at all possible, use a barring tool to turn the motor over such that the pump keyway is a 12 O'Clock before you remove the pump. This will lessen the chance of the keyway falling down into the gear case.
