Brown Oil/grease of some sort in the passenger side floorboard????

Last time I cleaned my truck, there was some type of brown spots all over my floor mat, I just assumed this was from someone's shoes and cleaned it up. Today, I was tidying up and I there are new spots that look exactly the same, so I looked down there and there are little brown grease spots all over everything. I have pulled a bunch of my dash/glovebox etc. out and I cannot tell where it's coming from. Anyone had this happen before??

I have that problem too, they are coming from under my carpet. I cleaned it really good one time, figuring that I had spilled something, and they came back. I have not gotten around to pulling the carpet to see if there are holes in the floorboard that are letting moisture in causing rust and the stain. That is my next step, when I have time to do it...

I think it might be something from the heater, either that or an odd coincidence. Haven't had any need to run the heater since I got it, but after hearing a few suggestions it may be heater coil related, I ran the heater, and sure enough no heat whatsoever. Guess I'll be going to the dealership Friday.

You guys with the problem have 04.5 and 06 trucks. Maybe it has something to do with some adhesive used on the flooring and the exhaust heating it up from underneath? I don't know just guessing.
