Brake rotors
Re:Brake rotors
Hey Ram Man,
You need to let us know if this is a 4x4 or a 2x4.
I haven't had mine apart yet but I'm sure theres a big difference in the two. Post your signature at the bottom and everyone will know what your reffering to when you need help with something.
Welcome to the site and good luck. There's alot of good people here that will be tons of help.

Re:Brake rotors
Pulled mine not to long ago and it is a piece of cake. You start out removing the tires of course and then the brake caliper. Take the dust cover off if you have one and loosen the retaining nut in the center of the wheel hub. I believe it is a 31 or 32 mm, not sure on the size though. I have that can;t remember stuff disease. The entire wheel hub/rotor assembly should come out as a unit. You'll find that the bearing hub is connected to the rotor by 10 or 12 bolts and again I doubt I remmeber it right but I think they are 22 or 23 mm bolts. Put the new rotor on and reverse the rest of the procedure. Goes back easy than it comes off. Recommend some penetrating oil for the bolts that hold the hub to the rotor. This is for a 4x2 3500 and not for the 4x4. Give me a minute and I'll tell you how to do that one. Need to check the neighbors truck out and I'll get back to you. Plus I have a manual too. ;D
Re:Brake rotors
4X4 looks to be a breeze also. Take the tire off and remove the brake caliper. Remove the hub to steering knuckle bolts and remove. May be a cotter pin but I aint sure casue the neighbor wont let me tear it apart.hehehe
Rear wheels on either 4x2 or 4x4 should be fairly self explanatory. Get back to me or us if you have problems. Good luck and watch those knuckles.

Re:Brake rotors
just so I don't get me into trouble. I have simplified my procedure assuming you have done something like this before and didn't want to talk down to yuh. If I was wrong in my assumption please PM me and I'll fill in the blanks. I don't know it all but I do know some good resources attached to this site. Help is a key stroke away. ;D
Re:Brake rotors
I feel pretty confident about pulling those rotors now. I was hoping to be able to get the rotors off without pulling the hubs but it shouldn't be a problem. I did find some pretty super step-by-step pics and stuff at http://www.geocities.com/palmerlivestock/RotorHubService.html by Ricki Palmer while perusing the help articles. I really appreciate all of the help with this project. I'm also glad my tools are Craftsman. That breaker bar just doesn't stand up to 250 pounds of force jumping on it while breaking loose the spindle nut.
Thanks :-*
