Question brake and antilock lights lit

Crusing around tonight, got on throttle real hard on a lonely stretch of highway and the anti-lock and parking brake light came on... Stopped for a bit and checked fluid and all was good. brakes got fresh pads onfront less than 2000 miles ago and rears looked good at last tire rotation. Started truck back up and 5 minutes late idiot lights went off. Checked codes and none present. brakes work just fine during light episode and since. Anyone have a clue as to what might have caused this??? I am perplexed.

TIA Gary

My guess is the speed censor in the rear end. Heard that might cause it.

I know on a lot of fords, if you floor it and leave it floored for a while, the ABS lights come on.

Check the wiring harness that goes into rear differencial. You'll see the plug with a couple of wires. Check to make sure the wires aren't bared and touching frame. I've had 2 CTD Trucks that this has happened and that's what caused it. Good Luck.

Thanks for the replies. Should have thought about speed sensor. I had just run it through a car was that sprays undercarriage. The water could have initiated a short somewhere. I will crawl underneath today and give it a thorough inspection.

Again, THANKS!!
