posting here as i dont have a lot of time. what do i need to be doing about this? the blow-by bottle has purged twice in the last two weeks. i just drove home yesterday from base (500+ miles) and it had done it for the second time. aside from the mess under my truck, oil pressure guage has also started acting funny, going real low after coming off the highway. my edge unit let me know with the alarm. made me nervous. oil level is good, good color, motor sounds and drives great other than a small air leak back at the tank causing hard starts after sitting a while. i have searched and know that the sending units have a bad habit of dying. could these two be connected by chance? i am a good mechanic, but id like to know something as i dont have a great deal of time before i leave to go back in two days. cummins is out of sending units at this time so i cant fix that before i leave. if there is anything elese i need to look for for more info please let me know. any info appreciated.

Have you checked for #2 in your crankcase?

 

doesnt appear to be any sign. i had asked a diesel mechanic the same thing last time i was home and he said it looks and smells like oil.
