banging and clunking in floorboord

I have an 05 4x4 crew cab short bed with a g56 and and a 271 transfer case. latley if i go through the gears and give it any extra juice than nessicisarry to move, i get a clunking and banging sound when i let off the throttle, it sound as though it is lined up where the extension housing begings on my trans. The trans is leaking and has been, but i always top the fluid off weekly so it is not low. I beleive it might be the transfer case for when i changed the fluid in that, it looked like soot block oil, not atf+4. anyone else got this problem?

when i changed my transfer case oil for the first time it was at 118000 miles and the atf+4 that was in it was as black as used motor oil but i dont have any funny noises other then when my exhaust gets over agianst the cross member because the clamp on the back of the turbo keeps backing off. have you changed the turbo recently?? if so check the clamp because when mine first did it i thought i had a bearing going out in the transmission. and it feels like someone is pounding on the floor of the truck.

I would look for loose engine or tranny mounts.

I would guess the same as infidel. Also, check your drive shaft u-joints. Just places to look, I'm no expert.
Fill out your sig so we can see what you got!

thanks for your help guy's i found it. The exhaust clamp that i used by the crossmember had a small bracket for a hanger. I never got around to replacing the clamp since i never had a problem till now, nothing was loose but i since my trans mount has been soakin in fluid for some time now it probably allow for that little be of movement.
