Bad Knock After Retorque/injectors

before installing my new EDMs yesterday, i decided to retorque the stock head bolts (171,000 miles and didnt have time to do the arp studs) prolly a little over due but oh well. i just decided since i was gonna have the valve cover off for the injectors, i might as well retorque them. so i took the rocker arms off and retorqued them according to the service manual my buddy had from geno's garage. reinstalled the rocker arms, swapped the new EDMs/.093 tubes, bled the system, and got it started. took it for a test drive and everything felt good. on the way back to my buddies shop about an hour later, i was slowing down to make a turn and noticed a TON of white smoke pouring out the stack (I MEAN A TON) regaurdless of being on the throttle or not. thats when a bad knock started (LOUD). if i gave the truck throttle, it would get worse, so i let it come to an idle and the knock stopped. accelerated again, NO knock? drove it about 150 more miles that day, and still no KNOCK?? any ideas??

sorry for long post!
