autometer gauges stopped working

i have a fuel and oil pressure gauge- both electric and full sweep. been in the truck for a year- both stopped working today both are spliced into my igintion wire for power. what do i need to check?? i figure if it is a fuse or relay-then the ignition wire would be affected too-so the truck would not start, right??
