Auto transmission identification

I have a 2000 Dodge 5.9L 24 valve 4x4 with an automatic/overdrive transmission. How do I know what series (46 RE?) it is?

Diesel Dodges were 47RE (or 47RH in 1994-1995 on a few) until the 48RE was introduced in 2003.
