apps
my dodge dealer just told me that my apps is going I am going to try the reset procedure first. They said it would cost $475.00 plus labor . where is the apps located ? If I have to change it I will do it myself. Does any know if there is an after market apps
or do I have to by from a dealer?

Go up to user cp and fill in your profile signature line with all info you know about your 98 3500. We need to know if its a 12v, 24v, auto, stick, 3:55 gear ratio or 4:10. Any modifications? That sort of thing. It will get you more answers quicker.

Yep, they are expensive. That's why I have lived with my throttle going dead for about a year or more.
My dad just got one for his 99 manual from a cummins shop for $360. He gave them the engine serial #'s. I was really suprised as I thought they were a dodge dealer only part.

Click here for a link on how to reset the APPS. Also please fill in you signature. It helps us help you. Especially in your case since you have a 98. The 98 was a transition year for the Rams. Early 98's got the 12 valve diesel. 98.5 got the newer 24 valve diesel.
