Any certain way to change oil??
I seem to remember at one time someone selling a pre-oiler. Before each start the oil system is pressurized. Seemed like a good idea at the time. We had a new 1976 Toyota Corolla actually run with no oil for a short distance after it's first oil change (filter to loose). My dad thought for sure it was ruined bit the darn thing went well over 300,000 miles before it finally died. All things considered, oil is an amazing thing.
went for a coffee and a smoke. came back started chatting with another tech. told him to fire it up raised the hoist up to look for a fuel leak. the car was running for about 10 minutes. when he looked at me and said. hey did you fill it back up with oil??
dropped her down.filled her up. drove her for that winter sold it for 1 grand 4 years ago and the lady is still driving it lol.
Before I quit at a lube shop, they've been known to run many cars with out oil. I remember this guy had a red ford 150 late 90's if not early 2000. Left came back and told us the water in oil light came on. The boss went back down in the bay to drained the oil in a cup lil at a time to check for water. oil filled two SMALL coffe cups. lol the truck was runnin like crap and died right in the bay. To bad it didn't blow up. wonder what every happend to the guy that never camed back when the boss forgot to put oil in his car
thats why I quit some guys there didn't even know you could change the oil in a car.
wait.....
WHAT!!!
