How do I ck the AC compressor oil & how do I Add more?

Is you a/c working properly or have you had a leak or changed a component? If it is working then the oil is fine. If not and you have changed something in the system then you should only have to add an ounce or so. New compressors come with oil in them as far as I know or at least all the ones I've done have.
