You could start by replacing the brake light switch.
I paid $12 for one a Napa last month.

As for the brake and ABS light, check your Master Cylinder, when the rear brake line rotted out on both my 97's I had the Brake and ABS lights and a hole in the line. You really couldn't tell you had no rear brakes........

Very important symptom.
ABS depends on communicating the vehicle speed as compared to each tire's speed.
Start by checking wiring or replacing the vehicle speed sensor on your tranny or transfer case if 4wd

Based on your last symtom, I would change the sensor in the rear differential. These are the same symtoms that I had when mine went bad.. Not sure what it is called, but there are several post about it.. That is how I was able to figure it out.. Quick fix, and relatively inexpensive compared to other things.

Godd luck. and let us know which fixes the poblem..
