99 Wont start when warm??

When it is hot try pouring cold water over the VP-44. If it starts fine you have a problem with the VP-44 electronics going bad. Common problem.

Well, I just talked to a guy at one of the local diesel shops. He seems to think by the way it is acting that the computer is going bad on me.

....here's what I'd do. IF I could get you to duplicate it, I would unhook the VP, hook up my Cummins "hot box" and see if it would start. IF it starts with the test tool hooked up, you need to look back at the trucks wiring or ECM. IF the truck doesn't start, I would be installing a VP. Every dealer has this tool. See if they will help you out (or even know where it's at).

237 has something to do with the map sensor and the 118 is the coolent temp sensor, I think, I don't have my manual with me.
