On the way home yesterday the truck started to sputter and die out when I stepped on the throttle. Low speed was fine but would occasionally stumble. I figured that the lift pump went out again. I replaced it a few weeks ago. I went and bought an inline electric pump and installed it. Still the sam problem so I changed my fuel filter. Now it won't start or if it does it won't stay running! Help! This is my only transportation!!

 

You need to reprime the fuel system. On mine which is a '96 there's thumb pump right below the fuel filter, I just pump it til I feel the pressure build up and then start the truck (it may take a few time of pumping). The other way is loosen one or two of the injector lines at the injector and turn the key on and let the pump run until fuel comes out and then retighten the injector lines.

 

Bled the entire system already. Primed to the filter, then to the pump inlet, then the injectors. No Luck so far.

 

Check to make sure that the shutoff solenoid has power when the key is on.
