600 timing mark

600 timing mark

I need help. I'm trying to adjust my valves and their is no mark on the gear, can anyone help, please.

The proper way to do the valves on one of the common rail engines is to read the impedance from hall effect switch (reluctor) that reads the cam angle.

However, the way everyone does this is to locate TDC by rolling the engine and watching the valves close, and then using the same procedure as for a 24 valve Cummins.
