Help! A friend of mine has a 2K4 / 6 speed with an Edge performance chip (he's not sure of the model, but it is "top of the line", has several settings - 6, I believe?), but he recently got the P2121 code, and it runs like it's in limp mode - any suggestions on how / if this can be fixed? I sent him the re-cal procedure (key on / off / slowly put the pedal to the floor, slowly release).....no joy!

Any suggestions? Pls help, this is his daily driver -

Possible causes for code:


Measure the resistance between the (K22) signal circuit at the sensor and the (K556)
not idle circuit at the sensor.
Is the resistance less than 10 ohms?

Yes ! Replace the APPS
Also Inspect the engine to body ground strap located between the left rear of the cylinder head and the left side of the bulk head for wire harness contact.
Inspect for anything foreign under the throttle pedal. Check the throttle cable for any binding / possibly caught in power adjustable pedals.
Inspect the 14-way connectors at the clutch / transmission bell housing. Check for oil coming from the transfer case vent which may be getting onto the 14-way connectors.
