Ok.

Not sure how much help I can be though.

Worse comes to worse, I could drag him to the dealer.

I didnt realize you lived in that area.
The guy owns a masonry company and he is a customer of a good friend. we are both diesel mechanics but mainly work on the bigger stuff.
The guy is pulling a heavy trailer, If all else fails we may have to take 2 trucks and trailer him back.
We are 300 miles away in Grand Junction CO
Are you going to Edge in August Phox?

Ohhh, heavy as in a gooseneck most likely.

Ya, I know Grand Junction, got my bumper from there.
Almost got to take a trip to pick it up, but lucked out and got it delivered for $50.

I didn't know a date had been set for Edge yet.
Most likely I'll be there, at least the Saturday events, have to work Sundays.

He is about 40 blocks from the Dealer I bought mine from.

I think the key on/off trick started in 2001, maybe late 2000.

I think he has a pull behind trailer. My friend put an injection pump on that truck about 4 months ago, and a new lift pump. He probably has the timing sensor out or something.
Thanks again,
Edge I believe is on Aug. 14 and Im going

It came whenever DC changed the dashboards, and went with a digital odometer.

No, it was only in '98&'99 when Cummins couldn't decide if they were going to skip the 24 valve entirely and go straight to the common rail.
Before the digital odo the codes come up by counting the flashes of the check engine light.
