2006 aftermarket radio , subwoofer now speakers not working.

installing a sony FW500, and an MA Audio subwoofer with pioneer GM-x554 amp. , bought wiring adapter and matched all colors. now factory speakers are not coming on. the sub does. I'm thinking the factory amp is not coming on. ??? there was a separate connector in the factory radio that had a red/wht/blk wire, did that need to be connected. . I have the sony wiring info and verified what I did. apparantly there is SOME issue with the two blue wires also?? thanx , crossy

I take it this truck has the factory infinity setup ? I hear horror stories on them when trying to upgrade, no idea on wires, sorry and good luck, let the boy give it a shot.

MIKE, THAT BOY IS MY WHOLE PROBLEM,LOL. I myself, would never tear into something like that !!. we were actually trying to help someone with a 2006 and i ASSumed that dodge was the same so i asked here. not so. we found that that Jeep had the optional boston acoustics amp and it can only be turned on after buying an expensive digital signal adapter. best buy $130. ala ebay $75. , thanx for the thought though. round 2 next weekend. crossy

Had something similar happen when I replace mine with an Alpine system.

There are multiple blue wires (don't remember how many). I had them hooked up the way the instructions said and no audio except for the CD. After talking with the tech support guy a Crutchfield, changed one of the blue wires and it worked like a champ.

Hope this helps.
