Exclamation 2004 with a problem

i got a '04 quadcab 4x4 2500. when driving right now it started to stall out at about 1500 RPMs. The truck didn't want to go over that. When i would let off the gas the engine sounded different (kind of like a big rig with louder than normal knocking). What do you guys think it can be? i replaced the fuel filter at 30,000 miles and the truck now has almost 33,000. it was doing this before i changed the fuel filter and stopped once replaced, then fine. but the problem had returned. let me know what you guys think.....

Mike

Could you please fill out your truck's signature, so we know what you're working with?

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

Could be a weak lift pump.
Could also be an issue with your Edge... any more info about that?
Have you been running any biofuel?

Does it try to stall at 1500 RPM, or just stop making more power?

Im having simillar problems with mine. Check your codes (I have a P0628 which I am told is probably a sign of a failing lift pump). I ordered a GDS system last night. Be carefull, a weaak or dead lp will kill your CP3. I'm praying that I havent ruined mine.

Good luck,

Shannon
