i removed the front driveshaft to replace u-joint on removal of u-joints , this is the back of the driveshaft where there is two u-joints ,in the middle of the inside there is a bearing , once I took this apart this berring with all its needle bearings fell apart . can i heat this part to get this piece that is pressed inside to replace it with a new bearing , and where can i find this bearing cause dodge dont list it . To them i was told i have to buy a new drive shaft. Please I need help
NAPA can get tem in some applications. Can't say if they can get it for that one or not. It is called the pivot joint in a double cardan joint. They should know what you are after if you call it that. They are a ***** to replace sometimes. You may end up having to take it to a driveshaft shop ( most heav duty truck shops could point you in the right direction ) and have the double cardan joint replaced with another one and the shaft rebalanced.
