2000 dodge won't start

my buddy has a 2000 dodge 6sp and it will not start. all new cables and batteries. all dash lights come on when you turn the key on but when you turn it to crank it over it goes dead. the truck will run and run fine by a pull start. i was thinking about the starter. any suggestions would be great.

Theres a good chance could be the starter. you could do a volt/amp draw test to verify. i couldnt find any OEM specs.

Check that you have 12 volts going to small terminal on solenoid when you turn the switch to the start position. I can't remember on mine, but most vehhicles will lose power to most everything when you hit the start position. If you have 12 volts to the small terminal then verify when you start battery voltage at batteries. If voltage drops below 10.5 then try jump starting. If still no luck, then pull starter and take it somewhere and get it rebuilt or do it yourself. If you do not get power to small terminal then check relays and fuses and switch itself.
