1998.5 tranny shot?
Hello everyone,
i have a 1998.5 2500 with an automatic tranny, it has been worrying me fo a while and my worst fears came last night. i was headed home and got to the end of the driveway and pulled out in to the raod and it would not go anywhere! first gear is all i have anymore, i tried to get enough speed to maybe shift in to third but i never could get it. its like it shifts out of first and then has nothing. it never gave me a warning or anything! Does anybody have any idea what it might be? im thinking i should just carry it to a tranny shop and get it rebuilt or a new one. does anybody have any suggestions or know of a reputable shop around Palestine, TX (this is where my truck is). i dont have alot i can spend on it right now, but i was thinking of trying to do a manual conversion. any thoughts or help will be greatly appreciated!
