12v wont start

I just finished doing the KDP and resealing the front gear case. All went well, started her up, ran great. Ran for at least 1/2 hour, checked for leaks, all good. Drove onto the road, began to accelerate, HUGE backfire, then several smaller ones, no power no go!!!!! Shut it off and at first it would crank over and attempt to start, but now it just keeps on cranking over with not even a hint of a sputter.

I had to remove the overflow valve on the injection pump to reseal the gear case, I plugged the opening being ever so careful not to get any dirt in there, then when all was said and done, I changed the washers for the overflow valve and replaced the fuel filter. I bled the fuel system. Now all I get is white smoke!!

HELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!

Thanks

Did you pull the gear on the injection pump?

Definitely sounds like your timing slipped... big time.
See if this can help you, no need for a dial indicator or DV socket.

There must be absolutely NO OIL on shaft or gear. If there is they will slip. Clean off really good with brake clean and clean rag.
