'07 dual mass flywheel problems
What would cause the flywheel to go bad in a brand new truck? Its an '07 3500 dually with a 5.9 Cummins. Have had the truck for about 6 months and the truck has about 59,000 miles on it. It is used for hauling but isn't over worked or poorly taken care of (regular oil changes, maintenance, etc.)
The flywheel caused the clutch to go bad and for the rear main seal to leak. The dealership isn't standing by their word or even helping in any way.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or know of anyone who has. Thanks.

The dual mass flywheel has internal weights which can become dislodged & cause a vibration-damaging the disc & seal or the disc could have started slipping causing excess heat-damaging your flywheel & seal-kind of chicken or the egg-inspection after disassembly would tell you.Clutch warranty is 12 months/12k miles from initial new purchase
