My son noticed a few days ago and I noticed today- I was on INT 80 going up a grade not pulling anything, doing about 70 mph, as I let off the throttle truck seems to like " shudder" my wife called it "chugging" it was noticeable. I recall in maintenance manual I was suppose to get the bands adjusted - I think it was around 30k miles, I never did. could that be the problem ? truck has 50,780 miles now. thanks

 

Letting off the throttle and experiencing a "shudder" would be imho a driveline issue, not a trans issue. Hard to say net-diagnosing, but I highly doubt it's trans.

 

as you were rolling off throttle it was doing this or accelerating again. maybe check fuel filter. also all u-joints.

 

I bought a new fuel filter, never got around to replacing it, will do today and check driveline, u-joints. I am off road in mud a lot- my work truck. Pulling mini roll-off into landfil. in mud sometimws 14" deep. I just hope it's not trans.
