[B][/B HELP!!! guys i started my truck early today to run to the city.2004.5 48re ,smarty jr. ***** whistler,. the truck kinda sneezed on starting,thought that was weird.getting up to speed on the highway at 45mph/1500 rpm, just before convertor lockup she really shudders runs bad.no smoke.can this be a lift pump problem,or bad fuel??? i am leaving to Minneapolis on sunday 8hr trip and i need to find this problem.was going to try and program the smarty jr. from level 3 back to level 1 and take it for a road test.my brother has an 02 ctd and gave me a brand new lift pump but i haven't looked to see if it will fit.

 

I I had the same problem with mine with the shudder and the start up was rough, it would spit and try and die at a stop. Mine was the crank position sensor it was a little less than 200 for the sensor not sure if it's the same problem but hope it helps.

 

We After Reading Many Posts Here Last Night I Recall Hearing A Squeak When I Backed Up The Truck.so I Decided To Check My "u'' Joints This Morning,well My Back Joint Was Pooched.just Finished What A Nightmare Of A Job.but No More Shudder.couldn't Get Spicer Joints Had To Settle For Precision 330's Made In America With Grease Fittings.its Sites Like These With All Kinds Of Info At Your Finger Tips That Really Help A Guy Out.
