I have a 01 Ram 1500 Q/C with a 318, 2wd. I have been fighting this since about 2 weeks after I bought the truck. It started with a leaking intake gasket in which I had to buy oil dye to prove to the dealer it was leaking, driving down the intersatae aabout 75mph I'll hit a hill, nothing steep, if the cruise is on, it will kick down get to the top and drop back to o/d. if you &quot;lug&quot; it out it will start spark knocking, I've tried 5 diffrent gas stations, all 3 grades of gas, 89 helps but..... the truck just doesn't seem to have the power of others I've drove. I talked to the dealer, they recomended a PCM re-flash, but I was warned about worse power. I recently purchased a Mac Tools 9640A Scanner, I used it on the way home today from Augusta, I noticed the Timing advane at a idle going nuts from 8 to 18% Is this normal? I also noticed the tps would not read over 75%. I work on Class 8 Trucks (Freightliner), our TPS counts read from 0-100% I also noticed the left and right bank timing I think numbers going from + to - is that normal. I can't get any help from my dealer, I thought about going for a aftermarket PCM I'm just lost on what to do next besides trading the truck. Can anyone give me a accurate reading on the o2 sensors.?
