Agreed, I had never used this dealer, Madison Square Chrysler Jeep, in Huntsville, AL , but they do have an excellent reputation. They attached an evaluation card to the bill with the last question being what I would do if I owned the dealership. I replied that I would give Sam, the mechanic, a raise. He was such a down to earth guy who took me out to the truck when I picked it up and showed me where he ran the wire and told me to call him if I had any problems down the road.
When I discussed the cracked block issue, he told me he hadn't heard of the problem. When I picked the truck up he told me he discussed the cracked block with his service manager and the manager agreed that Chrysler should have come though with some assistance like the new engine and have me pay labor. Too bad corporate is not as upright about this as this dealer thinks they should be. Oh well, like I said before their cavalier attitude has cost them a once loyal customer.

A big thank you to all who replied to my questions on this forum.
