00 ram 1500

Okay i know this is a diesel board but im sorry, my neighbor has a 2000 1500 4wd with the 360, This truck has been beat on through mud and more mud, Now it wont start, the starters not doing anything, He bought a new starter relay put it in and still nothing, Tried the netural drop, that didnt work either. Now last time i changed the solinoid, It was perfectly fine, It started right up with no problems, Now its nothing, the relay click, but its like theres no juice going to the starter,

Any ideas?

thanks

Sounds like the starter. Try giving a few whacks with a hammer to wake it up. If it starts, drive it to the parts store and buy a starter.

Hate to say this - bit too obvious, but are you sure the battery has the proper voltage? Sounds silly - but a friend actually changed starters on his '05 ML 350, and was about to swap alternators, when they checked and found the battery at 10.8V.

Sorry - sounds obvious, but it could be? Otherwise I might point toward a bad cable or lead somewhere.
