I don't understand why diesel guys make fun of gassers with stacks. It's their truck, they like it, so why call them idiots or stupid because there opinion is different than yours?

To each their own for stacks, just don't make them 20' taller than the cab roof, IMO. And I dropped about 100-150 EGT's while cruising and EGT's cool down faster with my single stack compared to full straight exhaust..which is my main reason for single stack.

LOL! I've seen a 2nd gen dodge dually with side stacks that was a gasser, unless the owner just put the "V8" emblem on the side of his truck to make it seem more powerful. All else aside, it didn't look too bad. I used to want stacks until I saw a few new stacked Chevys around town with 17 year old kids driving them. Kinda ruined the image for me.

I was one of the first in town to get em on my truck and I know what you're talkin about. Tons of kids are throwin em on whatever truck they have. That doesnt bother me too terribly bad, but when they go by and hammer on the gas tryin to look cool is what irritates me.

To be completely honest almost all the diesels i see with stacks are kids trucks. Or maybe they are driving their dads truck. So i only tend to associate smoke stacks on pick up trucks with up to no good kids! ive been told that my truck is a "bachelors" truck, much less if i was to add stacks to it, they would tell me im a little too old to be driving a lifted truck w/ stacks.

The coolest thing(lol) I've seen around here was about a year ago in Abby, I think It was a mid 80's civic painted john deere green with john deere yellow wheels and trim and a hood stack on it with the rain flapper thing. I wish I had had my camera, I talked to the guy drivin it, he was havin fun with it and thats all that matters.

Tx, I dont know how old you are, or what kind of friends hound you about your "Young Kid" truck but...

Im pushing 30, been married a while and have a 4yo. Your truck is the blueprint to which I want to build mine. I love it, the lift is perfect, rim and tire size... perfect, bumper and fender trim.... you guess it, perfect.

Like Ive said before, the only other thing I would want to add, IS STACKS!

I just like the way they look.

Everyone has there preferences.

Stacks can be cool. All that really matters is what the owner thinks of them anyway.
