Went and picked up a 1/2 ton of gravel. Barely could tell it was there. I know it ain't much, but it's the first load of anything I've hauled on my truck.

In the past, I had a Ford Ranger and an F150. I couldn't hardly see over the hood with half a load like that and had to drive slow so the steering would work.

The suspension just squatted a little, just enough to level it out. Tranny shifts better too! If it weren't for the xtra fuel, I'd leave it on.

I know, I just hauled about 1000 lbs of lumber and concrete home for my new deck. That extra weight sure makes the truck ride smooth.

My camper weighs 3200lb. I was surprised that it buried the suspension...even the overloads.

I'm not disappointed, just surprised.

I put a 2500# pallet in my truck and was disappointed! The bumper was just about draggin' on the asphalt...LOL I don't think the stock 2500 leaf packs are that strong...

I had that problem with my 2500 with 20 bails of alfalfa. It would squat bad. I put in air bags and now load it up with 30 bails. It sits nice and level now.

Well I had 45-2ftx2ftx2 inch concrete patio stones, a 8x20 ft chain link kennel, wheel barrow, and an 8 ft utility trailer in tow and my truck was just about to touch the overloads. I mean the thing was only sitting level. My truck has the 8600# package so I don't know whats up with your trucks. I must have had at least 2 tons on the old girl and she drove like a dream, but I will say the brakes were less than I thought they should be..
P.S. there wasn't anything but the kennel on the trailer..

I think the rating on the older truck springs were alot higher than the newer trucks.. I have had almost 2 3/4 ton of stone on the back of my 90 and yes it did squat down, but it also never touched the helpers. I was very surprised with that.

Thats crazy that yours are squating so bad. I have hauled 40 bushel of corn in mine several times(heat my house with corn) before I bought my barge box wagon. 40 bushel at 52 pounds/bushel is a little over 2000 pounds and it barely made my 04 2500 sit level. It dident have the overloads but if it did it would not have squated it enough to even touch them. It litteraly made it sit perfectly level. Rode and drove like a dream. Wish I could leave it back there.

I have had a little over 3000 pounds in the bed of my 3500 single rear wheel and I'm very pleased. I also was pulling a landscape trailer with another 7700 hundred pounds and truck sat a little lower than level. This thing is a beast!

I've had 2000 lbs of decorative rock sitting (sold by weight) right over the rear axle and it was not even touching the overloads. Truck sat perfectly level... the springs on these trucks are pretty hard on the kidneys. For winter I have a 550 pound chunk of steel I beam filled with concrete and a piece of allthread in it so its bolted to the frame. Helps LOTs with traction and the ride is MUCH better. I believe HOSS has the patent on the concrete bed liner...

When the airbags are at 5psi, the truck does sit level...it's just on the bump stops. The airbags get the suspension to a point, where it can work properly and dampen the bumps and irregularities to smooth out the ride.

ive had 1700lbs of scrap steel in the bed and it didnt drop hardly at all, thats odd some of them drop so far.
