I like Ford's. That may make me in the minority, but I do. I loved my Ford Bronco, and my old F150. The 2 Ranger's I've had were bullet proof, much better than Dodge's Dakota as far as longivity.

I love Dodge's too. I've had 2 1/2 ton Dodges, a 97 with the 360 v8, and a 03 with the 3.7 v6. Great trucks, and ran like champs (save for the transmission and rear-end replacement in the 97). Dodge makes a great looking truck, and finally in the past couple of years put a decent set of brakes on it.

I drive my Dodge because its a Dodge and it has a Cummins diesel. I like Cummins because I've been around them more, and generally like what I've been able to do in them. A v8 Diesel in a non-medium duty truck seems like over kill to me. And I work on my own stuff, so I don't want to have to lift the cab EVER to do anything.

Cummins also has the better fuel mileage, and I have a 12 valve which is easy to turn up.

If Ford had Cummins in them, I really liked the early 2000's 3/4 ton trucks interior. Though I'm a young guy, I don't have the greatest back, and the seats were really comfortable. The 2nd gen seats in the Dodge trucks haven't been very good on my back, however my 03's seats were great.

When I upgrade, it'll be to a 6spd Mega cab. I probably won't ever buy a Ford or Chevy diesel unless a Cummins is in it. And even at that point, probably not because I'm too loyal to Dodge.

I've been a GM guy all my life. Had a brain fart and bought a Ford in '98. Biggest POS I've ever owned. Sold it in less than 2 years.

Was looking at new trucks and since Ford was out,it was between GM and Dodge. I really wanted a 6 spd manual in '01 when I bought my 2500HD,but settled for the Allison. I never really liked the Allison all that much.

GM decided that the Allison was the only thing they'd sell you,and didn't offer a manual transmission anymore.

Basically,GM forced me to buy a Dodge. It was quite refreshing to pull into a Dodge dealer and actually find probably 25% of the trucks with a manual tranny.

The fact that the Dodge was about $10,000 cheaper than a GM didn't hurt either.

Rancher haul loads n loads of cattle and horses when we are turning out. Haul a whole bunch of haying equipment and hay also. When I take off in the morning heading for a load of cows I want to know that I can get there and my old wore out 140k 13mpg loaded with beef cummins runs and runs strong and has never let me down that was not of my own doing.

Always had Dodge trucks, this was my first Diesel and fortunately it came with a Cummins.

Side Note: The interior of my F-I-L's Super Duty (2005 V-10) is horrible looking compared to my Dodge. I was surprised due to all of the complaints about the interior of the Dodges and accolades of the Fords...Must be the King Ranch only, cause his looks like it stuck in the 90's dash wise. Our Ford E-250's are the same way.

I like my Dodge trucks. They have more character than the others.
The Cummins is a plus.

Dont get me wrong, I would like a late 90s early 00s F250 or F350 crew cab with a Twin Turbo Cummins and a full billet 47rh.

I have loved the look of Dodge since I bought my 1998 1500 4x4 with the 5.9 360 V-8, then I upgraded to an 06 1500 QCSB 4x4 with the Hemi. All the while researching about and loving the CTD. I had driven friends trucks with the CTD and in 07 when starting to tow a large boat I found that the Hemi would do it but not to my satisfaction. That coupled with the POS IFS front suspension on the half tons (shattered a CV joint off roading) caused me to seriously look into a CTD so in Nov of 08 I bought my current rig. I love Dodge trucks and I love Cummins and could not see myself owning any other type of truck or ever owning a gasser again

I changed to Dodge because of Ford`s engine problems. So far I unlike so many here think that the Dodge truck is as good as my Fords. Well, maybe not the seats.

I gained respect for the engine when I used to work for Dodge as a tech back 94, and I always said I'm going to own one some day,and not just work on some other lucky guys truck.
