A note about the Cummins announcing our presence:
Last night I was picking up my daughter from work and before I got there, she called me on the cell phone. Since I was already close to the parking lot, I downshifted and let the Cummins announce my presence. She heard the engine and hung up the phone. I just LOVE the sound of the Cummins!!!

As men I beleive we are born to love the sound ...................o yeah and the fact that pedestrians think there is a semi on a rampage when im running along by the buildings is just terrific and not to mention its that feeling of pride knowing no man for the most part will out pipe you on the road... and shall they try they will know never to do so again

That ultra low tone at about 1200 RPM. The way it sets off car alarms cracks me up. I think it's close to the right frequency to make people lose their balance.

1. I like the smell.
2. I've had V-8 gasser owners drool at the sound of my truck
3. It's a unique sound you can pick out really quick.
4. It's calming
5. It's just cool.

Ive often wondered about this very thing. What makes us like the things we like and what makes them enjoyable. For example, I LOVE sled pullin, but if you look at it in a simplistic way its basically spending thousands of dollars to see whos truck can drag a hunk of metal down the track the farthest. Why is that so exciting and fun for me? Who knows, but I love it! Same thing with the noise of a turbo whistlin. What makes that so "cool". I have no answer for it, but I love it! I guess it just takes a certain breed of human to be a "diesel head". Diesel is a drug and im definitely addicted. Its kinda sad when a man gets goose bumps just from hearing the sound of a mean sounding Cummins

becaus it drowns out the sound of that motorized skateboard, siting next to me at a stoplight, also the profanity comeing from it when I fill it with good. old diesel smoke But mainly there is just something about the sound of a cummins under full throtle that makes me smile.

I dont think it is just the guys that enjoy our rumble.
The other day I go to pick up my new girlfriend (Varsity Cheerleader). And she climbs in and before we even made it out of the driveway, she asks if it was alright to open the back glass!
I says yeah, but its gonna be loud. Needless to say, we drove all day with it opened up and a major grin on her face.
It felt rather odd to see some preppy girl in an old Dodge with a farmboy like me!
Had to share my Story, sorry!
