Haven't seen or heard of a manufacturing issue on these vehicles. Every broken or loose wheel stud I have ever seen has been due to overloading, undertorquing, improper aftermarket wheels etc.

The 4th gen 3500 wheel stud torque is 145 ft-lb. I have Alcoa wheels now so I need to check them to be sure they are good.

Having all 8 studs replaced today on my driver side rear. I I felt a rattle and heard a noise so I pulled over. Had 3 studs left. this was Tuesday afternoon. Drove down the mountain to the nearest dealer. They are thinking flat backed rims with rotor keepers is the problem. $350 total.
